Description
The Front Disc Brake Conversion Kit for 1971-76 Bronco is the ultimate solution for improving your vehicle’s braking performance. This kit is meticulously engineered for compatibility with Dana 44 front axles, offering a reliable upgrade from the stock drum brake system.
Before making a purchase, please note that this kit is not suitable for Dana 30 king-pin axles. Additionally, it is incompatible with the Y-style steering linkage found in ’76-’77 Broncos; changing to a T-style steering setup is necessary for proper installation.
Included in this kit:
– James Duff Knuckles (1 pair)
– Tapered slip fit adapter bushings (for factory ’66-’75 steering)
– James Duff Caliper Mounting Brackets (1 pair)
– New hubs with races, rotors, and installed studs (2 per kit)
– New spindles (2 per kit)
– New calipers with caliper key set and banjo bolts with washers (1 pair)
– New OEM-style rubber brake lines (1 pair)
Designed for optimal performance, our kit ensures that you can easily find replacement parts from most auto parts stores, with components compatible with 1977 Ford Bronco. This prevents the typical frustration associated with sourcing parts from other conversion kits which may contain a mix of inferior options.
The strong factory-style steering knuckles and caliper mounting brackets included in this kit provide enhanced rigidity, leading to improved brake functionality. This means quicker stopping power, which is crucial for the safety and maintenance of your Bronco.
For installation, tapered bushings are included to facilitate either a factory Bronco steering system or an upgraded bolt-on steering option. Proportioning valves, wheel bearings, spindle nut kits, and ball joints are available separately, should you require additional components during installation.

This kit is confirmed to work only with early T-style wheel-to-wheel tie rod systems found in ’66-’75 Broncos and ’71-’75 F-150s. It is incompatible with inverted Y tie rods, commonly seen in ’76-’77 models.
