Description
The James Duff Dual Sport Hellwig Anti Sway Bar is engineered specifically for 1966-1977 Ford Broncos, allowing you to tailor the suspension to your driving needs. Choose a configuration that optimizes control for street driving or on/off-road adventures.
Key features include:
– Compatibility with 2″ to 5.5″ suspension lifts
– A Hellwig sway bar foundation for enhanced performance
– Optional new lower coil retainers that secure the coil spring and provide sway bar end link mounts, adaptable for various steering configurations
– Direct bolt-on installation for a stress-free upgrade without elevating the front end of your Bronco
This sway bar effectively reduces body roll, enhancing stability during tight cornering. Unlike factory-installed options, which may fall short under increased load, the Hellwig design features larger diameters and precision-engineered components for optimized handling.
Installation prerequisites include:
– Detaching sway bar links from lower coil retainers prior to off-roading to prevent part damage
– Spacing the rear sway bar away from the axle if used with the optional bolt-on torque tamer bracket
– Ensuring compatibility with your suspension lift; modifications may be needed for lifts over 6″
Elevate your driving experience with transitional weight distribution and systematically engineered parts that work in concert with your vehicle’s existing systems.

What a big difference over the factory plates.

I have a 76 Bronco with a 3 1/2 Duff with 33 tires. We drive our Bronco everywhere, so when it comes to making it drive better, we always looking to try something different, at the last super cel. Duff recommended that I try front and back sway bars. A little spectacle, but willing to always try something. We installed them. And first initial thought was it was no difference, but then as soon as we started making turns in the roads through the mountains. It was like eye-opening difference. Very narrow, winding mountain roads in passing cars was always a challenge. OMG! Duff was right! I don’t think about it just do it.

Currently running just the front sway bar, but will be adding the rear as well. Significantly reduces body roll. Noticeable improvement in drivability and control in the turns. Love the quick disconnect system! I’ve also driven the “Duck” with the front and rear setup – like riding on rails. Very nice!

I was surprised at how much this improved the ride and handling! Eliminated the constant rocking side to side motion when cruising back roads. Easy install on a 2 post lift, disconnected the shocks and was able to get coil springs out without loosening the radius arms to install the lower coil retainers. I gave 4 stars instead of 5 because if you don’t get the optional quick disconnects you don’t get any hardware for the other end of sway bar links.

Hi Darren,
Thank you for your review, when purchasing the sway bar you are presented with the option to buy the standard hardware or the quick disconnects. We do this to avoid duplication and help on cost. You can purchase the hardware individually, the part number is #5126.
It’s also available here – https://dufftuff.com/product/dual-sport-coil-lower-coil-retainer-5-8-hardware/
Thank you for choosing James Duff.

The product is very well made. I purchased the quick disconnect option. It works great, probably not necessary unless you go offroad on challenging trails.
